Vaillant Group aims to reduce its CO2 emissions by 50 percent by 2030 through its in-house sustainability program SEEDS. The first step towards achieving this ambitious goal is to convert existing sites to renewable energies and invest in an environmentally friendly vehicle fleet - including e-charging stations.
neoom has actively implemented this vision and designed an innovative energy concept.
The basis at both locations is a photovoltaic system. At the Graz site, a total of 104 monocrystalline high-performance photovoltaic modules were installed on two buildings. The entire PV system offers now an output of around 48 kWp. This means that the Vaillant site covers not only its own needs, but can also pass on the surplus electricity as rental power to another company located on the site. At the Traun site, 92 modules create a total output of 29.9 kWp.
The photovoltaic system does not only optimize the energy balance of the sites, but also has another major benefit: the demand for renewable energy is growing rapidly among Vaillant customers, and the photovoltaic system from the company's own product range also serves as a live presentation for customers. In order to implement this proficiently, among others, service and sales staff will take part in product training courses at Vaillant locations, including Graz and Traun. Thanks to the sustainably produced electricity, there is hot water for employees and customers and energy-saving lighting in the business premises. A neoom BOXX charging station for electric cars is also supplied with green electricity and can be used by customers free of charge in the customer parking lot.
