With regional partners like ETU towards a global change

Markus Unger founded the company in 2006 as a one-man operation and with a lot of passion for solar power. In 2008, he built the first PV system; meanwhile, more than 2,000 systems have been installed. Since 2012, the company has also been selling and installing electricity storage systems and is seeing annual growth between 100 and 150 percent in this segment. With its many qualified employees, e.t.u. Elektrotechnik Unger GmbH is now an established player in the photovoltaic market.

neoom founder Walter Kreisel is convinced that phasing out fossil fuels requires the perfect interplay of hardware and software: “Only if we manage to sustainably use resources such as sun, wind and water – which are almost infinitely available to us – we can turn the tide.” Together with Elektrotechnik Unger, neoom is thus continuing to work on the decentralization of power generation and storage. “We are pleased to have found a strong – and particularly regional – partner in neoom, who will work with us to develop individual all-in-one solutions for our customers. Together, we are pursuing the energy transition,” says Markus Unger, founder and managing director of e.t.u.

PARTNER AWARD FOR THE MOST INNOVATIVE PROJECT

Recently, a particularly innovative project was implemented for a large industrial company, which earned e.t.u. a neoom Partner Award at the neoomlive02 event. “Our customer is growing rapidly and has been reaching the limits of the network’s performance reserves again and again recently,” Markus Unger tells us. “Our mission was to develop a CO2-saving alternative to a costly expansion of the network. In neoom, we found a partner with whom the planned costs could be reduced by two-thirds and peak loads could be absorbed through the installation of storage systems.”

INDEPENDENCE FOR EVEN MORE CUSTOMERS

And the next joint project between neoom and e.t.u. is already about to be completed: the Direder winery in Kirchberg am Wagram. The electricity generated by the PV system is stored in the hybrid home storage system KJUUBE. Energy management is carried out using NTUITY, so that the electricity is available in exactly the right amount when it is needed. “As a winemaker, I depend on the resources that nature provides. For me, it was the logical next step to switch to sustainable energy systems and thus contribute to preserving this planet for future generations. At the same time, we have succeeded in taking a big step towards being independent in terms of energy supply,” says Robert Direder happily.
