CONNECT AI: The new era of energy management
The absolute highlight of the event was the presentation of CONNECT Ai, the new intelligent evolution of the CONNECT energy management system. Markus Placho, Head of Software Product Management, explained how CONNECT Ai uses intelligent data analysis to automatically make the best decisions for energy consumption and thus maximise comfort, efficiency and profitability for customers.
CONNECT Ai is the intelligence needed in the energy system of the future. It analyses millions of data points, simulates scenarios and makes the best decisions for our customers - automatically and in real time.

Head of Software Product Management
In future, customers will no longer have to ask themselves questions such as: When is the cheapest time to charge my electric car? Should I charge my car or my storage unit with PV power? When is it worth charging the battery with electricity from the grid? And when should I draw electricity from my energy community or feed it into it? CONNECT Ai provides the answers to all these questions. It not only connects our digital services in the neoom APP, but also learns from its users, creates individual forecasts and achieves the greatest possible cost advantage for them on this basis. CONNECT Ai thus enables users to utilise the full potential of their energy systems.
Extended partner services for joint growth & sales potential
Martin Riegler, Chief Revenue Officer, presented the enhancements to partner services, including new functions in the partner portal. These include an improved ticket system for more efficient communication and optimised lead management, which enables customer enquiries to be forwarded directly to partners. These innovations strengthen the partner network and open up additional sales opportunities.
The extension of the tool for offer folders to a dynamic energy concept customised to the customer's situation offers the opportunity to explain the economic efficiency of a neoom solar power plant to customers even more easily using neoom skills.
A particular added value for our partners and customers is the new referral programme ‘Friends refer friends’, which was developed in-house and fully implemented in the platform. Our 20,000 customers can now refer friends via the neoom app and receive cash rewards in return. Referred customers benefit from an annual Mega licence for the CONNECT Ai energy management system, which maximises convenience and profitability. Referred customers are qualified by neoom and forwarded directly to our partners, further intensifying neoom's collaboration.
ith this programme, we are actively involving our customers through further added value and at the same time strengthening the all-important partner network.
Martin Riegler
Chief Revenue Officer
With over 20,000 existing customers and potential advertisers, this offers enormous additional sales potential. With this further development of the marketing programme, neoom is investing in joint growth and intensifying cooperation with its partners.
Hardware developments
In addition to these highlights, numerous other developments and product innovations in the field of hardware were also presented:
- TERRA commercial storage system: Andreas Buchner, Head of Product Management Energy & Infrastructure, announced the sales launch of the new, flexible and scalable TERRA outdoor commercial storage system, which is now available to order.
- New photovoltaic modules: The PV portfolio has been expanded to include high-performance, weather-resistant modules, which are available immediately and are suitable for both residential and commercial applications.
- Expansion of STAAK home storage systems: From October 2024, it will be possible to connect up to six STAAK or STAAK Eco battery storage systems in parallel, allowing storage capacities to be flexibly expanded and adapted to individual requirements.
The best hardware is nothing without intelligent control! The best devices alone are not enough if they don't evolve. Our solution offers you less loss of comfort and lower costs, while reducing the load on the grid and ensuring that everyone benefits from a functioning energy system.

Developments in the software sector:
n addition to CONNECT AI, several other important software updates were presented that offer neoom customers additional benefits.
neoom systems §14a ready
One focus was on preparing neoom systems for the new legislation in Germany in accordance with §14A: from 1 January 2025, grid operators will be able to prescribe the controllability of energy systems via intelligent metering systems (iMSys). ‘All neoom systems are already §14A-ready - including existing systems,’ emphasised Nenning, in order to ensure future-proofing for all customers.
neoom CONNECT energy management system:
The latest version of the CONNECT system now enables the simple use of dynamic tariffs for battery charging - available for neoom home storage systems since April 2024 and for BLOKK systems from October 2024. Intuitive control via the app.
Optimised charging of e-vehicles with dynamic tariffs:
The charging process can already be easily controlled via the app. From Q1 2025, intelligent charging at dynamic tariffs will be possible - up to 30% cheaper charging thanks to a simple mode selection. Further devices will follow in order to save even more costs by using dynamic tariffs.
Access to variable energy markets with the GRIID skill:
The GRIID skill was launched in spring 2024 and enables home storage systems to charge optimally when electricity prices are favourable. This function will also be available for commercial storage systems from autumn 2024. The functionality will also be expanded to include dynamic feed-in in order to generate higher revenues. Another new feature is multi-use, which enables flexible revenues through the marketing of storage capacities.
With the update, not only electricity storage systems, but also electric cars will be charged fully automatically and optimised at the most favourable times!
