2021 - 360 Days of full power!

The coronavirus crisis was far from over in 2021 - but we
but we used our momentum from last year and continued to work tirelessly!

We have already covered several kilometres on the road to the Gigacorn - and have taken our first steps towards climate neutrality!

But join us in looking back on an electrifying year:

Say goodbye to CO2 - with neoom products!

Our mission is to bring infinite power to everyone! The idea of a fair distribution of energy and a sustainable future is what inspires us every day.

But we don't just want to give everyone access to sustainable and self-generated electricity.
We also want to save one gigatonne of CO2 through the products we sell. We affectionately call this ambitious goal our "Gigacorn".

And we are delighted that our drive is already having an impact:
In the last 3 years of our history, our products sold have saved a total of almost 15,000 tonnes of CO2 - through PV systems, electricity storage and the switch to electromobility!

More than a climate-neutral company

However, on our way to becoming a Gigacorn, we are not only striving to save CO2 through our products, but also to be climate-neutral as a company ourselves.

And we have succeeded: We have already taken the first steps towards carbon neutrality!

After calculating our own corporate carbon footprint, we decided to offset our emissions on this basis. With the support of Climate Partners and our employees, we have decided in favour of two methods to cover two levels:

CLIMATE PROTECTION

A certified climate protection project to also serve the social dimension of sustainability and close the financing gap for sustainable development in developing countries, and on the other hand a young, innovative high-tech company from Switzerland to offset the CO2 balance of the atmosphere.

Because we are not just saving or offsetting CO2. Our commitment to effectively combating CO2 is carved in stone. And to support this, we need a firm foundation.

We have this in the form of a brand new and promising technology:
From Climeworks, another young and innovative company that relies on disruptive innovation to reverse emissions that have already been emitted.

DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION

How? Through the "direct air capture" method from Climeworks, which uses CO2 collectors to remove carbon dioxide directly from the air.

The carbon dioxide, dissolved in water and separated from the air, is then injected into the ground, where it reacts with the rock and thus fossilises underground through natural processes. This permanently neutralises the CO2. We are delighted to have young and ambitious companies that share our vision and many tonnes of CO2 that Climeworks will turn into stone for neoom in the future!

Company growth - the neoom group takes off

Our vision of living and doing business in a climate-neutral way is generating a great response - and the lively interest is reflected in the figures: the neoom group has once again achieved strong sales growth in 2021!

This would not have been possible without our great employees, our fantastic existing partnerships and our 136 new system partners!

TEAM – ALL ON BOARD

The number of employees also climbed to 117 with 63 new colleagues in 2021.

Together we achieved all our goals! We are very proud and pleased that we were able to achieve sales growth of +350%!

We are happy about every single person who lends a hand and supports our mission!

We are still looking for high potentials and talents who want to actively support our mission!

A CONCENTRATED CHARGE OF ENERGY

And the efforts of these 117 employees have paid off in full: 692 battery storage units - totalling 17 MWh - and 280 charging points were sold and 5 MWp photovoltaic systems were installed!

Already in the energy future today

Our countless references include projects such as the installation of a neoom BLOKK battery storage system with 1 MWh in the new IKEA store at Vienna's Westbahnhof railway station, which can even supply balancing energy.

Ortner Holz s also a step ahead with neoom: thanks to neoom, the existing hydropower plant is supported by a PV system with 300kWP, the energy generated is stored in a 398kWh BLOKK and KJUUBE with grid replacement function and managed with NTUITY!

Winkler Markt. shows how regionally and sustainably generated electricity can be used for electromobility. Since 2021, the Linz Urfahr site has been taking power generation into its own hands with a 125 kWp PV system. A BLOKK commercial storage system with 99.5 kWh stores the electricity generated. This enables six neoom BOXX charging stations to be powered by 100 per cent green electricity - and Winkler Markt customers can charge themselves with sustainable electricity while they shop in the energy self-sufficient supermarket. NTUITY: Everything in (energy) flow

We can also report great successes from our NTUITY business unit:

Our NTUITY energy management software has found a home in 433 locations. NTUITY is now optimising the energy flow of 4138 devices with a total installed capacity of 100.54 MW. 723 users have generated 3569.04 MWh of energy with their renewable energy sources and thanks to optimisation by NTUITY!

Full Power at Powerdays

Electricians, installers and solar installers are the backbone of our work. We are therefore delighted to welcome every single one of our 418 interested participants to our training courses and Powerdays this year, including installation demonstrations!

In addition to on-site training courses, this year - and not just because of coronavirus! - many training courses were held online as webinars. This allowed participants to familiarise themselves with our NTUITY Internet of Energy platform and its applications in addition to the hardware!

Crowned successes

We are delighted that we and our products have once again been crowned with laurels this year: We, because we were named a LinkedIn Top Startup and are therefore one of the most sought-after employers in Austria as an innovative young company!

Our Phantor atmospheric water generator was honoured with the prestigious Energy Globe World environmental award in the water category. The aim of the Energy Globe Award is to recognise innovative and sustainable projects with a focus on resource conservation, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies.

Phantor was also able to bring the German Innovation Award home to the neoom group. The German Innovation Award recognises cross-industry products and solutions that stand out from previous solutions primarily due to their user-centricity and added value.

Our Internet of Energy platform NTUITY was honoured in the "digital start-ups" category by the Oberösterreichische Nachrichten newspaper with the Digitalos as the country's digital pioneer.

Expansion & Investment

We have also grown spatially: three new locations - Munich, Vaduz and Zurich - were opened in 2021, with Berlin to follow in 2022. This was made possible by the Centum investment round, in the course of which Z.E Fund Trust joined on behalf of Mr Maximilian Zeller as lead investor, Nixdorf Kapital Impact Fund S.C.S.-SICAV RAIF Burning Issues Impact Fund (BIIF), venture capital professional and serial entrepreneur Roman Scharf and 15% of the neoom group management itself.

A total of 11 million euros was generated through the Series A of this investment round!

We have invested the majority of this in the further development of our products so that we can continue to offer excellent quality. As this also includes top service, we have significantly increased our staff and hired the best people!

News from the management

New organisational structures have emerged to manage all of this:

First Vice Chairman of our new Supervisory Board is Günter Maier, 2nd Vice Chairwoman Kornelia Waitz-Ramsauer and Sok-Kheng Taing as Chairwoman.
In our Advisory Board we were able to win Christin ter Braak-Forstinger, Maximilian Zeller, Rudolf Hilti, Michael Escher and Johannes Püller as Advisors!
We are also delighted to welcome ex-Fronius top manager Herbert Mühlböck as the new COO of the neoom group in 2021!
Markus Borke former Director of Sales DACH at sonnen GmbH, has been heading up neoom's German locations as Country Manager Germany since November 2021.
We have also gained a new Head of Sales for NTUITY in Julius Schärdinger, former Head of Sales at meteocontrol GmbH.

We are delighted that we were able to support many customers with our products on their own path to sustainable and climate-neutral electricity in 2021, in line with our slogan: Infinite power for all of us! The great demand and our resulting strong growth - also in 2021 - show that our endeavours are falling on fertile ground!

We are particularly pleased that these fruits of our labour have been honoured with a number of awards and prizes this year! But it's not just external juries and expert committees that have shown their approval of our work - all the new high potentials and talents that we were able to attract in 2021 also show that our vision is spreading far and wide!

We have taken advantage of this encouragement to successfully develop and expand our organisation.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL: WE ARE ALREADY FULL OF POWER AND IDEAS FOR 2022!

One of our biggest, most important and most exciting projects in the coming year will be the move to our new company headquarters in Freecity in the Mühlviertel! The anticipation is already great - because freecity will be sustainable beyond all imaginable limits!

We would like to thank all our supporters - customers, partners, friends - for the great cooperation! Thanks to your support, we were once again able to realise visionary ideas in 2021 and drive the energy transition forward together!
