Roser’s goal is to generate its own electricity and to make it more usable at both locations. For this reason, a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 99.16 kWp is being installed at the headquarters in Mayrwiesstraße. A 74 kWp PV system is currently under construction at the adjacent site in Gewerbestraße. “It is our firm goal to operate the new printing presses in Gewerbestraße with sustainable electricity. In addition to this, an energy community has already been established between the two sites which also makes Roser a pioneer in the industry. For us, this is the logical way to become the most sustainable company in the Austrian printing industry by 2021.” says Peter Buchegger, Managing Director of Druckerei Roser GmbH. The future energy community will be managed using BEAAM. This IoE gateway with NTUITY software on board networks all the necessary devices such as electric meters, PV systems, charging stations, etc., regardless of the manufacturer.
“Druckerei Roser is setting an example of how sustainability in the energy sector can be put into practice. The aim is to be able to operate both sites completely self-sufficiently from the conventional power grid,” explains Walter Kreisel, founder and managing director of neoom. “If in the future it is also possible to supply neighboring businesses with electricity, Roser will have the opportunity to offer up to 100 percent of its excess PV power locally. The purchasing companies get the security of sourcing sustainable electricity from their immediate neighborhood. The groundwork can already be laid now.”
Until that time comes, Roser is focusing on increasing the sustainability of its vehicle fleet. With the installation of two Roser-branded neoom BOXX wallboxes, they have taken the first step towards electromobility. “The great advantage for our customers is that with our holistic concept, we offer the optimal solution to operate sustainably, even across locations. In particular, through our intuitive NTUITY software, we create the basis for Renewable Energy Communities, which would enable Roser to significantly reduce the payback period of the system,” explains Walter Kreisel.
"From the very first contact, the neoom team has managed to give us the confidence that we have found the right partner to implement our vision. We are looking forward to working together."
