Currently, 90% of private households, companies and municipalities with a metering point in Austria can participate in a CEC. Occasionally, small grid operators exclude participation due to the complexity of the processes. If this applies to you, please contact us with your request. We will be happy to proactively approach the grid operator together.

We try to make the electricity price as fair as possible for everyone, both feed-in generators and consumers. Our tariff is currently more attractive than OeMAG's and new customer tariffs with conventional energy suppliers. In some cases, there are customers with unique special tariffs that were concluded many years ago.

No, you still need an energy subscription for periods when no electricity is generated in the energy community and you consume electricity from your existing energy supplier. This way you benefit from the price-independent CEC and, if necessary, from the security of the traditional energy supplier.

No, you sell the surplus electricity that is not purchased by the energy community to your existing energy customer. To do this, you need a feed-in agreement independent of the CEC, e.g. with OeMAG, Verbund, etc.

For the time being, it is not possible to participate in several energy communities. In future, however, the planned regulatory requirements will allow participation in up to 5 energy communities.

Yes, if you do not yet have a smart meter installed, please contact your grid operator.

You can apply for a smart meter from your grid operator, as they are obliged to install a smart meter for you on request as the basic metering point operator. You can find out more about how to apply for a smart meter in our knowledge base.

No, you do not need to purchase any devices to participate. If you would like to see your energy consumption live (not day-delayed as standard), you can purchase an additional meter (neoom BEAAM). However, this is not mandatory.
